Intentional action, training, and support of people of color and other communities who have had historic and systemic barriers to accessing the outdoors are needed to achieve equity within the environmental movement and career fields. To that end, the YOLP will expand to provide a wide range of interpersonal and nature-related skills-building to participants over the course of this 9-month program. If accepted into the program, you will help with day camps, overnight camps, community events, and/or land stewardship projects and complete a self-chosen project to improve Big Sur Land Trust programs.
What exactly you do will be informed by YOUR interests and what YOU care about, so tell us a little bit about yourself and why you want to join the YOLP team!
