With the recent rain, the native plant garden is thriving – and so are the weeds. We need several volunteers to help us maintain the garden, remove vegetation from the walkways, and pick up litter.
Volunteers will work in the native garden to hand pull invasive plant species and pick up litter. The invasive species we will target include common over-wintering host plants for Western Flower Thrips, a small and ubiquitous insect, which can spread Impatiens Necrotic Spot Virus, an aggressive plant virus that can quickly infect gardens and agricultural fields.
All participants must be individually registered for this event.
