NOTE: Mitteldorf will be closed intermittently for Cal Fire’s Palo Corona Fuels Reduction Project. Please check with our office for the latest schedule at 831-625-5523.
Because Williams Canyon Road is a critical access point for emergency response teams, it has been designated as a priority in the California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection’s (Cal Fire’s) Palo Corona Fuels Reduction Project. In order for Cal Fire to complete this work, Mitteldorf Preserve will be closed intermittently for the next few months. Their hand crews will be reducing trees that may fall on the road as well as dead standing trees left from the Soberanes Fire. This effort will be hugely beneficial to BSLT by making Mitteldorf Preserve safer for our future camp programs and all visitors to the property – and most importantly ensuring that emergency responders have clear access in an emergency!
When your Hike Request is received, we'll contact you to confirm your reservation and send you a liability waiver.
