Adventure Scientists is an incredible organization that recently reached out to Big Sur Land Trust when they needed a Central Coast sampling location in support of their California Biodiversity Project. Adventure Scientists specifically engages backcountry backpackers, mountain bikers, trail runners, and hikers in citizen science projects to collect critical data from hard-to-reach places.

Adventure Scientists will be conducting a volunteer day to sample insects at Marks Ranch on Sunday, July 27. BSLT Natural Resources Program Manager Nicole Chrislock will be there to answer any burning ecology questions.
