Connecting to the lands we all love
Big Sur Land Trust’s Community Programs connect people of all ages to unique experiences on the lands they love throughout Monterey County.
- During our Outdoor Youth Camps, youth from Monterey County – that experience various barriers to spending time outdoors – attend day camps at Marks Ranch and summer camps at Glen Deven Ranch. In these magnificent open spaces, they gain deeper emotional connections with the land, each other and with themselves. They can begin to consider the healthful benefits of spending time in nature and what it means to protect and care for the lands they are learning to love.
- Through our Inspired by the Land program musicians and other artists combine their passion for creativity and open space to create new works of art to inspire others.
