Adventures on the wild(flower) side!

Lots of folks are making amazing memories during our Race for Open Space and you can too! We kicked off our annual month-long fundraiser last weekend with three Adventure Courses in partnership with California State ParksMonterey Peninsula Regional Park DistrictSanta Lucia Conservancy, and Santa Lucia Preserve. We want to thank the more than 200 opening weekend runners, walkers, and hikers who supported Big Sur Land Trust’s efforts to conserve and care for the lands we all love – in places not usually open to the public. We call that a win-win!

Missed opening weekend and still want to adventure on the wild(flower)side!? Seize this opportunity to help us continue to keep our treasured nature preserves open and thriving year-round by immersing yourself in the blooming beauty of Marks Ranch in Salinas, Glen Deven Ranch in Big Sur, and Mitteldorf Preserve in Carmel Valley. Learn more and sign up here.

We are so grateful to all the participants, and to our volunteers, partners, and sponsors for lifting up our expanded mission to support more access to outdoor experiences for all.

We hope you’ll take this opportunity to move for the lands you love. In the meantime, check out these photos of just some of the wildflower experiences people are having!

Sincerely,

Your team at Big Sur Land Trust

P.S. For you hearty hikers, we still have openings on April 22 and 29 for a rare and strenuous guided hike into Joshua Creek Reserve. Sign up today!
