Volunteer Event at Mitteldorf Preserve

Get your gloves and join us Thursday, October 21 at Mitteldorf Preserve removing eupatorium, a plant native to Europe that can outcompete the natives by altering the soil composition and hydrology of the area.

Volunteers will arrive directly at the Williams Canyon parking area inside the Santa Lucia Preserve at 9:00am, where Hadley, BSLT’s Preserve Manager, will meet you. (Allow 45 minutes to drive form Monterey).

Expect to walk two easy miles into Mitteldorf Preserve, where we’ll begin our work pulling eupatorium.
