Our blooming native garden in Monterey! + 2-Mile Fun Run + Monterey Symphony Event + Volunteer Opportunities

Big Sur Land Trust’s Blooming Native Garden in Monterey

Spring has definitely arrived at Big Sur Land Trust’s native garden just outside our office in Monterey! We are so grateful to Jessica Neafsey at JMLA for donating her design time. We hope you’ll stop by for a visit!

There are plenty of exciting ways for us to cross paths in May. Check out our volunteer opportunities — it’s a great way to get out on the land and help us put our mission into action. You can also join our upcoming Carmel River FREE project tour to learn more about our long-term commitment to climate resiliency. This month also features the premiere of John Wineglass’s Sacred Land concerto with Monterey Symphony. And our Race for Open Space will close out the month with a family fun run and several different adventure courses for all you serious hikers and trail runners. You can also volunteer at the Race for Open Space!

Here’s hoping that you are getting out to see the super bloom this year. We’ve found that nothing lifts our spirits quite like being on a trail surrounded by new growth.

Happy Spring,

The team at Big Sur Land Trust
