Hooray! Race for Open Space weekend is here!

Sign up on race day, Saturday, May 11, for the 1-mile Fun Run and the 25k and 35k trail runs! If you’re running the 25k or 35k, arrive at MPRPD’s Palo Corona Regional Park by 6:45am to sign up. If you’re joining our family-friendly Fun Run, please arrive by 8:15am to register.

Hoppy Hiker IPA is back at Alvarado Street Brewery

We’re happy and grateful to announce that our partners at Alvarado Street Brewery (ASB) crafted up a batch of Hoppy Hiker IPA to benefit Big Sur Land Trust (BSLT) once again! This draft-only Hazy IPA gets rave reviews every year and is available at their Monterey location. 15% of Hoppy Hiker’s proceeds will go to BSLT while supplies last!  

Come hang in the Beer Garden on Thursday, May 9 from 5:00pm – 7:00pm, while ASB and BSLT will be on KRML Radio‘s Pub Talk to chat about the Race for Open Space and releasing the annual brew of Hoppy Hiker! Fifteen percent of this Thursday’s sales in Monterey will be donated as well. The BSLT team will be there with a bunch of info about the work they do around Monterey County, their new land acquisitions, and you can even sign up for the Race for Open Space that takes place this weekend!
