A “Thankuary” Gift For You! + More fun

It’s Thankuary! And here at Big Sur Land Trust, we are starting this new decade with grateful hearts. In late 2019, we announced the Campaign for the Lands You Love – Big Sur Land Trust’s first major fundraising campaign since our founding in 1978. We set a $7 million goal covering five priorities to be raised by the end of 2019.

And you, our generous donors, did it! In fact, you exceeded this challenge by raising $7.1 million! Because of your support:

  • Salinas is getting more green space and restored wetlands
  • More actions are being taken to help the magnificent forest at Mitteldorf Preserve recover
  • The Carmel River Floodplain Restoration and Environmental Enhancement Program (Carmel River FREE) continues to move forward
  • Increased funding means we can act more immediately on land conservation opportunities
  • Our stewardship experts can keep the lands you love healthier and more resilient

You can learn more about what you’ve made possible here.

To show our gratitude for your unwavering dedication, here are some beautiful photos taken on the lands you love throughout Monterey County. Enjoy them as screen savers or wallpaper for your phone and check back monthly to see more.

Happy Thankuary – together we are making a difference!
