Celebrate #GivingTuesday with MCGives! + New December Events

Celebrate #GivingTuesday with MCGives!

It’s #GivingTuesday! Grassroots generosity and community action are powerful forces for good, especially in challenging times – and you can make a difference for Big Sur Land Trust right now.

We believe one key to sustained community health is that people of all ages, no matter where they live, are able to access the unique peace of mind provided by spending time in nature. We need you to contribute to our shared vision of healthy lands, healthy people, and healthy communities.

Please give today. A portion of your donation will be matched when you support Big Sur Land Trust with a gift through MCGives!

Virtual Event: You Make It Possible

With gratitude for all that your support has accomplished, we invite you to join our virtual celebration of how partnerships make Big Sur Land Trust’s work possible. Our President and CEO Jeannette Tuitele-Lewis, community partners, and staff will share inspirational stories of your support in action from this year, as well as what we’re looking forward to accomplishing in 2022. We’ll also provide a sneak peek into next year’s events and you’ll have an opportunity to ask questions.

Virtual Book Club: The Science of Hope

Wednesday, December 8
5:30pm – 6:30pm PST

Join Dr. Wiebke Finkler and Scott Davis to “get eye to eye with our world’s wildlife!” From polar bears to mountain gorillas, penguins to sea otters, certain animals capture our imagination. These animals are mascots for conservation campaigns, but why these creatures instead of other equally endangered animals? The answer lies in their cuteness or charisma! Illustrated with images by Scott Davis, one of the world’s leading wildlife photographers, The Science of Hopeinforms as it educates, describing the psychology and science behind our desire to connect with these animals.
