Big Sur Land Trust has been working with residents and community groups including CCA and RON to co-create a multi-benefit park and open space that reflects the heart and soul of Salinas. Throughout 2020, our work with partners and community members continued behind the scenes and at the native plant demonstration garden (while observing all health guidelines).
Our latest videos give an overview of the concepts for the park and restored habitats, show how our native plant garden at the site is thriving, and how our community engagement efforts have informed the project. We have submitted our Development Review Application to the City of Salinas and are anticipating the required CEQA document will be released and available for public review this spring.
