Salinas Mayor Craig visits Carr Lake

Earlier this year, Big Sur Land Trust (BSLT) and Center for Community Advocacy (CCA) staff hosted individual Carr Lake site tours for several Salinas City Council members and the city manager.

Recently, BSLT staff had the opportunity to spend some time at the Carr Lake project site with Mayor Craig, discussing how we are working with the community to create a new park and open space in the heart of Salinas. As the process moves forward and the native demonstration garden continues to thrive, we are excited to share the collaborative vision so many community members have helped design!
