Season’s Reflections + Matching Gift Opportunity + Richard Louv is Coming!

It’s that time of year to gather, celebrate and take a closer look at the things that matter most.

As we reflect, we continue to be grateful to all our supporters. Your generous donations, sponsorships, partnerships and the time you spend volunteering give meaning to all our work throughout Monterey County.

We wish you the best of all things during this holiday season.

Thank you!

Give to the Lands You Love

To care for the lands you love throughout Monterey County while creating more unforgettable experiences for youth who do not have easy access to experiences in nature, please donate now through Monterey County Gives!

Your generosity will support healthy lands, healthy people and healthy communities in our region. PLUS a percentage of your gift will be matched when you give by December 31st!

DEADLINE EXTENDED: Open Call for Art and Images

Convergence: Carr Lake, Ecology and Community
Entries Due: December 30
Exhibition Opening: February 12

We are excited to collaborate with California State University Monterey Bay (CSUMB)’s Salinas City Center, Arts and Culture on this exhibition! CSUMB is seeking 2-dimensional images (artworks or personal images) engaging the theme of Convergence.

Convergences: expected and unexpected can enrich our lives with challenges and connections. At Carr Lake, CSUMB sees the convergence of three creeks; of urban, agricultural and wildland landscapes; of multiple communities and histories; and of an entire city.

Big Sur Land Trust sees the park we are co-creating with the community on 73-acres at Carr Lake as the convergence of “people, place and opportunity.” For more inspiration, take a look at the Virtual Video Tour and read ‘Convergence.’ Learn more and submit your work here.
